Answers

The Answers panel display the list of answers configured for a question, inside a survey. The Answers panel allows you to: Add, Edit, Remove, Move Up and Move Down.

Adding an Answer

1. On Survey Manager > Answers, select a Question and click on New:

2. The Add Answer pop-up will be displayed where you must first select a suggested question or create a new one, both options are displayed when you start typing on the Alias field.

If you select a suggested answer that was already answered in any survey the Content field cannot be altered. Below an example where the '108 - Vaccine Cert.' answer was selected, the content cannot be altered as this answer was already answered on another survey.

3. After choosing an unused suggestion or creating a new answer you need to configure the following information:

  • Content - Is the text displayed in the answer.
  • Vetting Pass - Defines if the answer is "correct" and as such must pass the vetting in case the vetting process is triggered.
  • End survey - Defines if the answer is 'incorrect' and will trigger the survey to be terminated in case the vetting process is triggered.

The datepicker type question also has a vetting fail option as it will rarely have more than one answer to distinguish 'correct' and 'incorrect' triggers at the same time. For more information visit the Survey Vetting article.

4. After defining the configurations of the answer, click on the Save button to add the answer to the Question and close the pop-up.

5. The answer is now displayed on the Answers panel when the Question is selected.

Editing an Answer

1. On Survey Manager > Answers, click on Edit;

2. The Edit Answer pop-up will be displayed with the current answer information, you can then alter Alias, Content, Vetting Pass(Fail) and End Survey. After altering the information, click on the Save button to save the new Answer information and close the pop-up.

If you are editing an answer that was already answered in any survey, the Alias and Content field cannot be altered.

Removing an Answer

1. On Survey Manager > Answers, select an answer and click on Remove;

2. A confirmation pop-up will be displayed, click on the Save button to confirm the duplication and close the pop-up.

When an answer is removed, it will no longer be part of the Question but will still exist as a suggested answer which means that it can be used again in the future.

Move Up and Move Down.

1. On Survey Manager > Answers, select an answer and click on Move Up or Move Down;

2. The answer will then be moved Up or Down on the Answers list.

The order displayed on the Answers list is the same order used to display the answers inside the Question.
