Upload multiple visitors
It is possible to upload multiple Visitors (standard) and even multiple Visits (bulk) at once by using a CSV file. tdsvisitor will identify the upload type based on header and information provided in the CSV. A template is usually provided by the organisation, which can be accessed through the Example link.
The same validation applied to the QR will be valid for CSV files i.e. required fields depend on the Collection Point specified.
Standard upload
The Standard upload allows you to include multiple Visitors to your Visit. After downloading the example file (or creating your own) you must fill out the required information and export the file as CSV. In this example, we have the common fields (First Name, Last Name, Email address) and some additional fields.
Click the Upload link to browse your CSV file.
If the CSV has null or incorrect information provided for one of the common fields, an error message will be presented and the Visitor will not be included.
Also, when uploading this same CSV having a Collection Point which requires a Title and Company we would get a similar error.
Inserting invalid values for one of the additional fields when they are not mandatory will not throw any errors, but simply include the Visitor without that data. It is possible to see which data was ignored by hovering the red icon:
After clicking Register, the Guests that had an email provided on registration receive the email invitation. Host and CC (if included) only get one email listing all the Visitors. The group visit shows on Upcoming Visits section.
