Data Import
This portlet allows administrators to import data into the TDS Suite. The data that can be imported depends on the 'Import Type' available.
To access Data Import portlet, go to Menu > Admin > Data Import.

Import data
1. Select the Import Type you want to use;

2. Check the 'Map TDS Fields to CSV Headers' panel. The TDS Field column shows the internal TDS name of the fields and the CSV Column Header must match the title on your CSV file.

Example: The Badge_Number (1) and Zone Code (2) mapped on the portlet match the badge_number (3) and zone_code (4) column names on the CSV file.

3. Click on ‘Load Data’.

4. Select your CSV file (1) and click on Open (2).

5. The data contained on your CSV file is now loaded to the Import Preview panel and available for review if necessary.
6. Click on 'Import'.
7. All data successfully imported will disappear from the ‘Import Preview’ grid.
8. In case a line is not imported the following message will be displayed.
9. The data that was not imported will remain on the ‘Import Preview’ grid and the Error column will show what was the problem.
10. The line(s) with error can be fixed on the grid and to retry the import just press ‘Import’ again. The error can also be fixed on the CSV file, in that case to retry the import use the ‘Load Data’ to reload the file.
